Phew!

I'm tired....I cooked 14 meals over the last weekend. I got this crazy idea to try to do 2 weeks worth of cooking in one day, so that I wouldn't have to put so much work into it every night. I tried all new recipes too. Last night we had Caccitore Penne, and it was tasty. Tonight we're having Cool Lime Burritos. I'm anxious to see how they turned out it sounded good, so we'll see. I actually enjoyed all the cooking, I never feel like I have time to actually cook a full meal and this way, all the hard work is done and all I have to do is thaw it from the freezer and add maybe pasta or something quick.

We went to the zoo on Sunday, it was Madelynn's first trip. It's too bad she didn't have a clue lol. Noah and Abigail really enjoyed it though, we took my neice Kirstyn and she had a good time too.

Other than that there's no news here...so until next time...

Happy Mother's Day!

"...mothering gives back and it gives back more than we invest. Little children are the most loving and trusting of all creatures. Their soft little carresses and cute little sayings fill a whole heart. They bring freshness and life to everything. They give us laughter when there is great darkness, and they carry with them a little taste of heavenly light everywhere they go..."

I quoted this paragraph from this blog that I read often. It's beautiful, and so true to the way I feel. This woman is amazing, but we all know it couldn't be possible w/ out God.

I thank God daily for my children and pray that he blesses me with many more. It's amazing how children can make you feel if you just allow it. They are unbelievable. I love to watch them learn and grow, I love getting sloppy sugars from them even w/ drool. I love getting up with them at night when they need me. I love the feeling of nursing my 3 mo dd, watching "Cars" with my son and teaching Abigail how to write her name. There is no other job that would be more fulfilling than mothering my children. I would trade my life for nothing more, nothing less.

whats goin on?

Not much really. Right now we're just getting ready to start homeschooling Abigail. I'm looking for things to do with her. She's pretty smart and catches on really quick, but we'll be doing the letter of the week. www.letteroftheweek.com I'll be using this and tweaking it a bit with some of my own stuff. We'll see how it goes. Really that's about all thats happening. Better get started on those 4 baskets of laundry. :-/ YUCK!!! (it's not my favorite chore)

rain, rain go away....

My kids would love to go outside and play! It's rained solid for two days, granted we love the rain, it's my favorite weather, but I'd sure love to have a picnic. We haven't had much going on this past week, just the same ole thing. Abigail went to Tishomingo to a birthday party with her nana and cousin Kirstyn. They went to Jace's first birthday party (my nephew) and had a ball.

I just thought that I should drop a note to update, today we went and ran a few errands and now the children are sound asleep all except for Madelynn. Of course, it would be way too easy if they all slept at the same time....then I might get a nap lol (yeah right)!
